Upcoming Gatherings

  • Other Love Stories

A Story Circle about your other significant others

    Sunday, February 9, 2-4 pm

February is the month of love. Let’s come together and celebrate all the UNDERAPPRECIATED forms of love in our lives. Tell us a story about friendship, framily, furbabies, or the forest. Your homegirls, your bromance, your chosen family or the friend that got away. Share a story about the person who mothered you when your mother couldn’t, nature's loving embrace, longing for community, finding your soul dog, or learning to love yourself. All you need is love!

*Appreciation to Rhaina Cohen for her work on The Other Significant Others.

  • In-between

    A Story Circle

    Friday, March 7, 6:30-8:30 pm

Living “in-between” can be awkward, painful, and confusing, but it can also be creative, full of possibility, and transformational. Share a story about being “between a rock and a hard place,” the insights you gathered as an “outsider within,” living in the “borderlands” as a member of two worlds, or defying conventional categories- neither this nor that, both this and that, or a hybrid of this and that. Between jobs, ideologies, or sides of the hyphen. Life isn’t black and white y'all, let’s explore some grays.

    * Appreciation to Patricia Hill Collins and Gloria Anzaldua for their their work on The Outsider Within and Borderlands respectively.

  • (Im)possible

    A Story Circle

    Sunday, April 13, 2-4pm

Prepare a story about defying the odds or coming to terms with them. A hole in one, running into a middle school friend half-way across the world, or remembering your dang password! Coming to terms with the death of a loved one, broken promises, or reinventing yourself. Turning back when the path ahead was too dangerous or forging ahead when you were running out of time. No way, yes way!

*Appreciation to The Moth Storytelling game for some of the language for this theme.

Cost

I don’t want cost to be a barrier for anyone’s participation, and so you can pay whatever you are able, no questions asked!

AND this is what I am doing to make a living. I very appreciate your support. My suggested rate for participation is $60/session. I put a lot of time and energy into preparing and running every gathering, and I bring years of experience to facilitating meaningful conversations.

֍ Anything you pay above $60 will go directly to supporting the participation of someone who cannot afford the full cost. ֍

All gatherings are held at The Post, 173 E 300 S, 84111

These gatherings are open for anyone to join. If you would like to set up a private gathering or if you have any other questions, please email me at cassie@relationalcommunities.com
